Kurtaj’s first arrest in January 2022 was for hacking telecom companies, but he was released under investigation. However, he continued his hacking spree the following month. Due to being doxxed by rival hackers, Kurtaj was moved to a hotel for his safety. Despite strict bail conditions that included a ban from the internet, he managed to hack Rockstar Games and leak 90 video clips of the work-in-progress GTA 6. He used an Amazon Fire Stick connected to the hotel TV to access cloud computing services with a newly purchased smartphone, keyboard, and mouse.
In September 2022, Kurtaj was arrested for the third time and has remained in custody since then. The investigation and court case are ongoing.
