Despite Blizzard’s denial, Diablo 4 players are still determined to find the hidden cow level in the game. A recent discovery of a cellar full of cows has reignited the search, giving hope to those on the hunt.
The breakthrough came from YouTuber “Grandpa Joe,” who stumbled upon a locked cellar that could only be opened with a key obtained by using relics in Ked Bardu. To acquire the necessary quest items, players must slay 666 cows three times, with the final cow being killed in a different region to obtain the specific item needed.
Once the key is obtained, players can unlock the mysterious cellar. However, there is one last task to complete – killing a final cow that will drop the shard required for entry.
This discovery has sparked renewed speculation that there is indeed a cow level hidden within Diablo 4, teasing players with its existence. Cow levels have been a beloved feature in the Diablo franchise, starting with Diablo 2, where players could battle hordes of weapon-wielding bipedal cows. Diablo 3 also introduced a cow level after the game’s third anniversary.
The popularity of cow levels in gaming is evident, with a dedicated Wikipedia page created for them. Blizzard has famously denied their existence, even including a cheat in StarCraft 2 called “There Is No Cow Level.”
This recent breakthrough suggests that players may be on the verge of discovering the newest cow level in Diablo 4. The only concern is whether Blizzard will follow in the footsteps of Diablo 3 and patch it into the game on the fourth anniversary, leaving players eagerly awaiting its arrival.
