Ubisoft’s latest community challenges in Rainbow Six Siege have set objectives that are impossible to achieve. Players have been given tasks to collectively eliminate 200 million enemies and destroy 300 million Defender gadgets, which are far beyond the capabilities of the player base.
These challenges typically last for two weeks, but players have consistently failed to meet the objectives. The challenge requiring 200 million eliminations fell short by 150 million kills, with players unable to even reach half of the target before the challenge expired.
The current challenge, focused on destroying Defender gadgets, is also proving to be unattainable. Despite the ease of clearing out gadgets when playing against certain operators, such as Kapkan or Lesion, the community has only managed to destroy around 4 million gadgets in the last day. This is nowhere near the required amount.
Players have pointed out that the current targets are significantly higher than previous community challenges. In the past, objectives ranged from 50 to 100 million, making the current goals seem excessive. It is unclear why Ubisoft has set such unrealistic numbers, especially considering the game’s player base has not significantly increased.
Some fans speculate that this may be a miscalculation on Ubisoft’s part, as similar situations have occurred before. In those instances, rewards were still given out despite the failure to meet the objectives. However, it is important for Ubisoft to address or at least consider these issues for future community challenges.
