An Overwatch 2 Hanzo player shared an incredible clip showcasing a once-in-a-lifetime arrow shot that eliminated an opponent from the opposite side of the map. The clip, taken during a Lijiang Tower game, captures the player shooting a Sonic Arrow randomly over a wall. Within seconds, they are rewarded with a kill. The player’s reaction is a mix of confusion and excitement, as they bounce gleefully into the action.
Reddit users were amazed by the play, with one comment stating, “Truly a once-in-a-lifetime moment. I’ve been attempting long-range Ana nades for over a year, but I haven’t secured a kill yet.” Another user shared their own experience, saying, “I managed to get one kill like this once, and I haven’t been able to replicate that feeling since.” These random sniping shots are among the most satisfying plays to achieve in Overwatch 2.
While this trickshot involved a significant amount of luck, there are various strategies to utilize the Sonic Arrow effectively with Hanzo. It can greatly assist allies by revealing opponents just before engaging in the first fight of a game. Mastering the perfect trajectory can make a notable difference between an average and an exceptional Hanzo player.
It is crucial not to underestimate the power of Hanzo’s Sonic Arrow. If revealed, you become vulnerable to his sniping shots, as well as other enemies, even if only for a brief moment. Peeking at the wrong time can result in a swift death.
Season seven is rapidly approaching in Overwatch 2, scheduled to launch on live servers on October 10th. This update will bring both changes and new content, including the introduction of the new map Samoa and reworks for Sombra and Roadhog.
Hanzo will also be in the spotlight as he may receive his first Mythic skin as a reward from the battle pass. However, this has yet to be confirmed by the developers.
