The latest update in Valorant, Patch 7.04, has sent shockwaves through the community as it brings significant changes to the agent roster. These adjustments are set to have a major impact on the meta, particularly for players who rely on Jett as their primary agent.
In this patch, Jett, the agile duelist, is hit with several nerfs to her abilities, including her Tailwind dash and Cloudburst smoke. She will also have one less Updraft, and her ultimate ability, Blade Storm, requires an additional point to activate. These changes effectively remove Jett from the meta, forcing players to explore other agent options.
Many players have already crowned Raze as the new queen of duelists, considering she is the second most-played agent in this role among high elo players. However, there are those who anticipate the return of a forgotten king—Chamber.
Before previous nerfs diminished his popularity, Chamber was the most powerful agent in the game and one of the most frequently chosen across all ranks. While he may not be as strong as before, the buffs he received in May could help him find a place in the current meta, especially with Jett’s absence.
While Raze becomes the obvious choice for entry fraggers, Chamber could be an ideal solution for players who favor the Operator. His Rendezvous ability is excellent for holding aggressive angles, allowing players to quickly eliminate approaching enemies before teleporting to safety or another angle for another kill.
In fact, we may witness an increase in double sentinel compositions with Chamber as the primary Operator user for solid defenses, while other duelists could also see a rise in usage soon.
