Valve’s massive overhaul of Source 2 has brought significant changes to Inferno’s B-Site holds in Counter-Strike 2. The position known as ‘car’ has been tweaked, making it more challenging for CT players to hold the line after the update. Previously, players could hide behind the plywood at the top of banana without exposing their heads to enemies peeking from B site. However, in CS2’s Inferno rebuild, players now have to crouch to avoid being spotted, as demonstrated by ThourCS in a recent video.
This seemingly small change weakens the CT side and strengthens the T-side advantage in CS2. While we don’t have specific win rate statistics for CS2’s Inferno map yet, the T side already had a 50.2 percent win rate in CS:GO. The map’s positions have been adjusted to favor the T side even more in CS2.
The impact of this change on B site will become clearer as more players join the CS2 beta. If the scales tip too far in favor of the T side, Valve developers may take action. They have a history of making small changes to CS:GO maps each year and are likely to continue doing so in CS2.
In addition to the changes in B-Site holds, Inferno’s skyboxes have also been altered. This means that T side players will have easier access to push onto the B-site. Valve may address any imbalance that arises from these changes, as they have done in the past.
