Viper, the renowned AD carry for Hanwha Life Esports, has agreed to a one-year contract extension with the team, it was announced today. This deal ensures that Viper will remain with the organization for the upcoming season.
Originally, Viper’s contract was set to expire later this week during the free agency window. However, with this extension, his contract will now run until the end of the 2024 season.
Despite Hanwha Life’s disappointing performance in the LCK postseason and their failure to qualify for Worlds, Viper’s individual performance earned him third-team All-Pro honors this summer. Alongside his teammates Zeka and Life, Viper showcased his skills and contributed to the team’s success throughout the season.
As for the rest of Hanwha Life’s starting lineup, their contracts are also set to expire on November 20, except for rookie jungler Grizzly, who joined the team mid-season. With the majority of the team becoming free agents, there is a possibility that Hanwha Life’s management may make changes to the roster for the upcoming season.
The official start of the League of Legends free agency period is on November 20. On this date, players from all regions, including Viper’s teammates Kingen, Zeka, and Life, will have the opportunity to sign contracts with new teams if they choose to do so.
