There are two possible scenarios for the future of GTA Online:
1) Merge GTA Online with GTA 6’s Online Mode

Another option could be to follow the strategy of games like Call of Duty, where new games are released but the popular online mode, such as Warzone, remains constant. In this case, GTA Online would receive updates to improve anti-cheat measures and security, ensuring it can keep up with current standards. While this may pose challenges for modders, it would be a better option for players who have heavily modded their game and for mod developers.
Rockstar Games is likely to reveal more information about the online features of GTA 6 in 2024.
