Which Video Game Characters Would Make the Best (and Worst) Cooks?

Luigi and Princess Peach: The Masters of Deliciousness

According to a Reddit tier list, Luigi and Princess Peach are ranked as “absolute delicacy” when it comes to their cooking skills. Joining them in this top tier are Kirby, Isabelle from Animal Crossing, and Steve from Minecraft. Steve’s expertise in survival makes him a self-taught master chef, capable of turning any meat into a delectable protein and creating mouthwatering soups, cakes, pies, and baked goods from raw ingredients.

The Mid-Tier Cooks

Bowser, Sephiroth, and Samus fall into the mid-tier category. It’s easier to judge some characters than others, so they receive the benefit of the doubt when it comes to their culinary abilities.

The Questionable Cooks

Mr. Game & Watch surprisingly lands in the “really good” section, leaving us puzzled. Pokémon trainers, known for their cooking skills in the anime, also find themselves in this category. However, some Redditors disagree with Mythra’s placement, citing a particular scene as evidence that she shouldn’t be ranked so high.

The Absolute Garbage

In the bottom tier, we find the terrible cooks. This includes various Pokémon, Meta Knight (unfairly), and even Dr. Mario, who apparently struggles in the kitchen despite his PhD. Regular Mario, on the other hand, sits in the “yummy” tier, which seems contradictory.

Controversial Rankings and Final Thoughts

Many comments argue that Wario shouldn’t be in the bottom tier, suggesting that while there might be an excess of garlic, his cooking isn’t half bad. Link, with his culinary skills showcased in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, is a strong contender for the top spot alongside Steve. Ultimately, the rankings are open to interpretation, but one thing is clear: video game characters have varying levels of cooking prowess.
