VALORANT’s latest duelist agent, Iso, has been introduced in Episode Seven, Act Three. While his strengths and abilities have been revealed, the voice actor behind his soothing voice is yet to be announced by Riot Games.
VALORANT agents have always had impactful voice lines that reflect the game’s lore, and the voice actors chosen by Riot have done an excellent job in bringing these characters to life.
Iso’s voice lines are influential, showcasing his relaxed yet determined nature. Unlike other duelist agents, he doesn’t come across as arrogant but takes pride in his abilities. His Chinese origin is evident in some of his dialogues, including one that hints at his love for his grandmother.
Considering Riot’s tendency to select voice actors who have a connection with the agent’s ethnicity, it is likely that Iso’s voice actor either hails from China or is fluent in Chinese.
As Iso is now available to play, it is expected that Riot will reveal the voice actor behind the character soon. Once the information is released, we will update this article accordingly.
Iso’s Lore in VALORANT
Iso, also known as Li Zhao Yu or The Dead Lilac, is a fixer for hire from China. He possesses exceptional gun skills and channels his focus on Radianite energy. His abilities include generating energy orbs from enemies’ shots, making him invulnerable, creating a bullet-bending shield, firing a molecular bolt to weaken enemies, and summoning an interdimensional arena.
In the VALORANT lore, Iso belongs to the imaginary Radiant race, which was created as a result of Radianite’s mystical power on Earth. While his origins are fantastical, his character is brought to life by a human voice actor, most likely of Chinese descent.
