A guild named Frontier has achieved a remarkable feat in World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore by defeating Kel’Thuzad, the toughest boss in Naxxramas and the most challenging raid in Classic. Despite losing some members, including their raid leader, Ahmpy, Frontier emerged victorious on October 11th.
Frontier’s accomplishment is historic as they are the first guild to complete Naxxramas in WoW Classic Hardcore. The journey was grueling, lasting seven weeks, but their determination paid off. When Ahmpy tragically fell, Windroce stepped up as the new tank, supported by the healers, and together they brought down Kel’Thuzad.
In addition to defeating Kel’Thuzad, Frontier also cleared several other bosses in Naxxramas during an intense eight-hour session on October 11th. This allowed them to upgrade their gear and prepare for their final adversary.
WoW Classic Hardcore enforces a one-life rule, making death permanent. This mode has captivated the community with its strict playstyle, attracting many old-school WoW players back to the game, despite the high mortality rate in the early stages.
Completing Naxxramas without any casualties seems like an insurmountable task, even for experienced players. Many guilds, including ours, have struggled with repeated deaths and the need to respawn and rebuff the party.
Frontier’s achievements extend beyond Naxxramas. They secured the world’s first Ragnaros kill on September 5th. At this rate, they may become the first guild worldwide to “complete” WoW Classic Hardcore.
