Blizzard Entertainment is shaking things up with the upcoming Superbloom event in World of Warcraft. Unlike previous Dragonflight events that required group play, Superbloom will encourage solo play and scale enemy spawns based on the number of players participating.
In an interview with GameRant, game designer Laura Spreitzer and associate design director Maria Hamilton revealed that Superbloom will provide a buff called Lone Wolf’s Courage to solo players. This buff will make players stronger and allow them to solo elite enemies. However, the buff will not activate if there are other players nearby.
This change is a welcome improvement for players on less populated servers who often struggled to complete previous Dragonflight events due to a lack of participants. Superbloom will also remain accessible even after its initial popularity declines, allowing players to continue farming rewards.
While this update is great news for Superbloom, it would be beneficial for Blizzard to apply similar changes to past events as well. Many players revisit previous world events for collectibles and transmog options, but these events are often difficult to solo until players have top-tier gear or the next expansion is released. Hopefully, Blizzard will consider implementing this change in future patches.
