Blizzard has announced that World of Warcraft: Dragonflight will continue to receive regular updates until the release of the next expansion, The War Within. Although there won’t be a Patch 10.3, players can expect new content every eight weeks to keep them engaged.
In an interview with WoW streamer Mr. GM, production director Michael Bybee and senior game designer Sean McCann confirmed that Blizzard understands the importance of providing consistent content to players. They assured fans that they won’t be left without anything to do between now and the release of The War Within in 2024.
While the exact number and details of the updates have not been revealed, it is expected that Dragonflight will receive several updates throughout 2024. With Patch 10.2 just released, it is likely that players can anticipate around five updates next year.
Although there won’t be any new zones or questlines, Dragonflight will still offer a new PvE and PvP season, resetting ladders and introducing a fresh Mythic+ dungeon pool with new rewards. Players will have plenty of content to explore and gear to obtain.
While the absence of a major patch may disappoint some, Blizzard aims to make the most of the remaining time for Dragonflight. Players can look forward to regular updates and a continuous stream of content until The War Within arrives.
