World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King Classic is set to receive some exciting updates with the upcoming Icecrown Citadel patch. In addition to the highly anticipated raid and dungeons, Blizzard is introducing a retail feature to help players stay organized.
According to WoW caster and streamer Dan “Mr GM” Carter, the Mount Journal, Pet Journal, Toy Box, and Heirloom tab from the retail version of the game will be added to WoTLK Classic. This addition not only allows players to declutter their bags but also suggests that valuable items may become account-wide in the next patch.
With the inclusion of the Random Dungeon Finder and the ability to queue for dungeons from Dalaran, WoTLK Classic could see a resurgence in popularity. Many players left the game after the introduction of WoW Token, but these new features may entice them to return.
The Icecrown Citadel patch, which does not yet have a release date, will reintroduce the iconic raid where players face off against the Lich King. It will also include the dungeons The Forge of Souls, Pit of Saron, and Halls of Reflection, as well as various class balance adjustments.
Following phase four, there will be one more phase—The Ruby Sanctum. This will mark the final phase of WoTLK Classic, and it remains to be seen whether the game will move on to Cataclysm or continue to expand.
