League of Legends mid lane players are all too familiar with the frustration of facing off against Zed. His unique abilities can quickly lead to defeat if not approached with caution, and falling behind early can be disastrous. Now, players are calling for some rather unusual nerfs.
It all started with one mid laner demanding a nerf to Zed’s W ability on September 14th. They proposed that the cooldown of his W should start after the shadow expires, providing a counter to his early game dominance. However, this suggestion quickly turned into a joke, with other players joining in and making hilariously absurd demands in a new post.
In this subsequent post, players are now demanding that Zed loses damage every time he builds an item. “Zed forces me to build Armor just to mitigate his damage, which is completely insane,” one player stated.
The author of the post highlighted several issues they see with the infamous League assassin. They believe that Zed should not have such high mobility, and that both his W ability and ultimate’s snap back to shadow should be removed. Additionally, they find his approach to enemies to be offensive and mean-spirited. “He should first notify his target via text message five minutes before engaging in combat, explaining exactly how he plans to execute them,” the author humorously added.
Some players even suggest that Zed should change his name to “Dead” since it rhymes and reflects his playstyle. They argue that he should remain dead throughout the entire game.
Overall, there is a multitude of changes that players are requesting for Zed, and it’s hard to disagree. Many of us have experienced the frustration of being solo-killed by Zed, even when we believed we had the advantage. It’s clear that some champions are simply overpowered, and it’s a shame they continue to exist in the game.
If Zed isn’t deleted by the next League of Legends update, players are threatening to riot. Perhaps a riot under Riot Games’ headquarters would be in order.
