A fan of Baldur’s Gate 3 wowed attendees at the Anime Weekend Atlanta (AWA) convention in October with their incredible cosplay of Mol, a popular character from the game. The cosplayer, known as PiginaTortilla, captured the essence of Mol with impeccable makeup and a faithful recreation of the character’s outfit.
Mol is an important non-playable character that players encounter early on in the game when they reach the Emerald Grove. PiginaTortilla’s attention to detail and skillful execution made their Mol cosplay stand out among others at the AWA 2023 event.
The cosplay was so impressive that many fans mistook it for an actual screenshot from the game. Comments on Reddit praised the uncanny resemblance and the high level of realism achieved by PiginaTortilla. One fan even admitted to initially thinking it was a CGI render before realizing it was a cosplay.
PiginaTortilla dedicated about a month to creating this stunning Mol cosplay. They actively sought out references of Mol’s full character model to ensure accuracy, and their efforts paid off tremendously.
Baldur’s Gate 3 has gained immense popularity, leading to several outstanding cosplays throughout the year. Notably, professional cosplayer Cinderys collaborated with Larian Studios, the game’s developer, to bring the beloved companion Shadowheart to life.
While it remains unclear if PiginaTortilla is also a professional cosplayer, their work certainly rivals that of Cinderys. The attention to detail and the faithful portrayal of Mol demonstrate their exceptional talent.
