A Reddit user, kmcaulifflower, shared her unfortunate encounter when her dad walked in on her playing the Emperor’s Mind Flayer romance and sex scene. Needless to say, things got awkward real fast. “I think it’s time for me to either die or move out. My relationship with my father is forever tainted,” she wrote.
One player chimed in with the classic meme reference, asking, “Are ya winning, son?” Kmcaulifflower clarified that she’s actually a daughter, but the recreation of the meme in this strange context still holds.
Despite the uncomfortable situation, the author managed to find humor in it, perhaps inspired by Monty Python. “Welp, at least he didn’t walk in during Halsin’s bear sex scene. I think that’d be the only way to make this worse,” she added.
In a game as vast as Baldur’s Gate 3, unexpected visits from family members can be perilous. The latest creation from Larian Studios is filled with moments that may seem bizarre to those not familiar with the story.
Personally, I’m grateful that I moved out before summer began, allowing me to enjoy the game in peace. My former roommates would have never let me live it down if they caught me romancing an edgy Vampire. As kmcaulifflower demonstrated, there are far worse moments for someone to stumble upon during a gaming session.
