Baldur’s Gate 3, the highly acclaimed game, has emerged as the winner of the September PlayStation Players’ Choice award. This recognition adds to the numerous accolades that the game has received since its release.
The PlayStation Players’ Choice award has been consistently given to games that have garnered overwhelmingly positive reviews. Each monthly winner stands a good chance of being considered for the prestigious Game of the Year award in December. Previous winners such as Resident Evil 4, Final Fantasy XVI, and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor are likely to be contenders alongside Baldur’s Gate 3 when the Game Awards voting commences in mid-November.
The PlayStation Players’ Choice award is presented every month, allowing fans to vote for their favorite game from a selection of the biggest and best releases of that month. In September, Baldur’s Gate 3 was nominated alongside Lies of P and NBA 2k24. However, those who have experienced Baldur’s Gate 3 can attest to its potential to dominate the Game Awards, making it a strong contender for this year’s Game of the Year title.
Although Baldur’s Gate 3 was initially released on PC in August, its availability on PlayStation in September made it eligible for last month’s Players’ Choice award. In August, Armored Core 6 received the honor from PlayStation.
Looking ahead, October promises to be a competitive month with highly anticipated releases like Spider-Man 2 and Alan Wake 2 leading the pack.
