Bel’Veth Dominates the Meta with Sky-High Ban Rates in High Elo

superadmin

Bel’Veth, the jungle champion, is currently wreaking havoc in high Elo games, with an overwhelming ban rate. In North American and European Challenger Elo, Bel’Veth boasts the highest ban rates out of all the champions. Her ban rate in NA Challenger solo queue is a staggering 67.1 percent, while in EUW, it reaches an incredible 83.2 percent. These numbers clearly indicate Bel’Veth’s dominance in the current meta.

Despite her popularity in the West, Bel’Veth doesn’t seem to be causing as much trouble in Korea. Her ban rate there is only 4.8 percent, significantly lower than other regions. Nidalee, for example, holds the title of the most banned champion in Korea with a ban rate of 47 percent.

Bel’Veth’s strength lies in her ability to carry games single-handedly, making her a formidable force in the jungle. While there are other strong picks like Nidalee or the newly-released Briar, none of them come close to Bel’Veth’s damage per second (DPS).

Another reason for Bel’Veth’s dominance is her favorable matchups against most champions in the meta. Her kit is specifically designed to counter engaging champions, allowing her to reduce incoming damage and turn fights around with her auto attacks and abilities. Additionally, her reset mechanic grants her invulnerability during fights and empowers her with more potent abilities for the rest of the skirmish.

As the World Championship approaches, teams should keep an eye on Bel’Veth, especially those who prioritize playing through their junglers. Notable players like G2’s Yike and Elyoya have already showcased her potential in competitive play. While she may not be a game-changer, Bel’Veth could be the X-factor for the Western regions.
