Toby Fox, the creator of the popular indie RPG Undertale, has announced that the highly anticipated successor, Deltarune, may be released sooner than anticipated. However, there’s a catch – the game will be launched without its fifth chapter.
In a recent Halloween newsletter, Fox revealed that Chapter Three of Deltarune is nearly complete, and Chapter Four already contains a significant amount of content. Unfortunately, Chapter Five is far from being finished, prompting the decision to release the game without it.
While no specific release date has been mentioned for Chapters Three and Four, fans can expect Deltarune to arrive earlier than originally planned. The game’s first and second chapters are currently available for free on PC, Playstation, and Nintendo Switch.
It remains uncertain whether Chapter Five will be released as free additional content or as paid DLC. Regardless, if Deltarune lives up to even half the quality of Undertale, fans will undoubtedly be thrilled to dive into the game, even without its final chapter.
Stay tuned for further updates on Deltarune’s development.
