Destiny 2 is teaming up with another iconic gaming franchise, The Witcher, for its latest collaboration. The upcoming Season of the Wish, launching on Nov. 28, will introduce new armor sets inspired by The Witcher franchise and its protagonist, Geralt of Rivia. This collaboration follows similar partnerships with Fortnite and Assassin’s Creed in the past. However, players should expect these new armor sets to come at a premium price in the Eververse store.
The Titan armor set will be instantly recognizable to fans of The Witcher 3, as it takes clear design cues from Geralt’s chainmail armor in the game. While the inspirations for the Warlock and Hunter armor sets may not be as apparent, they still capture the fantasy setting of The Witcher with a mix of different armor pieces from the game. Additionally, players can look forward to a new ship and Ghost Shell that will accompany the collaboration. There may also be themed Finishers available.
Although the exact price for these cosmetics has not been revealed, it is likely that they will follow the pattern of previous collaborations. This means that each armor set could cost around 2,000 Silver, equivalent to approximately $20. In the Season of the Seraph’s Assassin’s Creed partnership, each armor set had the same price range, while individual equipment cosmetics and Finishers ranged from 800 to 1,000 Silver.
However, there is still hope for players who want to obtain these sets without spending real money. Depending on Bungie’s plans for the store rotation in Season of the Wish, individual pieces of The Witcher armor may become available for purchase with Bright Dust throughout the season. This was the case with the Fortnite armor sets during Season of Plunder.
Destiny 2’s Season of the Wish and The Witcher collaboration will both launch on Nov. 28. Players can look forward to acquiring these new armor sets, but they should be prepared for the possibility of having to spend a significant amount of in-game currency or real money to obtain them.
