Ravensburger has unveiled another exciting spoiler for the upcoming Disney Lorcana: Rise of the Floodborn set. This time, it’s a new character card called Arthur, Wizard’s Apprentice. This card is expected to be a valuable addition to the bounce strategy, similar to Madam Mim, Snake.

Arthur, Wizard’s Apprentice is a three-drop un-Inkable character with Amethyst color. With 1/3 stats, this card acts as a bounce engine, gaining Lore while bouncing another character back to the player’s hand.
Synergy with Merlin Cards
Arthur, Wizard’s Apprentice synergizes well with the Merlin cycle of cards that also focus on bouncing characters. One such card is Merlin, Shapeshifter, which gains Lore value from other characters being returned to the hand. The other three Merlin cards in the cycle, Merlin, Squirrel, Merlin, Goat, and Merlin, Crab, also work effectively with Arthur, Wizard’s Apprentice.
However, it remains to be seen if Arthur, Wizard’s Apprentice alone is enough to fuel a bounce deck or if Madam Mim, Snake is also necessary. Additionally, the fact that Arthur, Wizard’s Apprentice has an unInkable casting cost may impact its viability in certain decks.
Players will have the opportunity to test out the Disney Lorcana bounce deck and Arthur, Wizard’s Apprentice when Rise of the Floodborn releases in stores on November 17th and major outlets on December 1st.
