The journey to becoming a professional VALORANT player starts with the Episode Eight Premier season. This season will serve as the opening act for aspiring players who dream of competing in the VCT.
In the highest division of Premier, called Contenders, teams will have the chance to be promoted to their respective regional Challengers league in the next Premier season. A promotion/relegation event is scheduled for the end of April, where teams can earn their spot in Challengers.
To qualify for Contenders, all players on a team must have a rank of Immortal Three or higher. This rank should be relatively recent and locked in before the start of Episode Eight, Act One on January 10, 2024. The teams with the strongest combined rank will have better chances of qualifying for Contenders.
Teams that make it to Contenders will have two opportunities to reach Challengers. The first opportunity is through open qualifiers at the beginning of the year. Only teams qualified for the Contenders division of Premier can participate in the Challengers open qualifier. More details about the Challengers qualifiers will be provided through their respective channels.
If a team doesn’t qualify for Challengers via the open qualifier, they can still compete in the Premier season. The stage two playoffs will determine which teams advance to the promotion/relegation tournament.
It’s important to note that players on active Challengers or VCT international rosters will not be able to participate in Premier. However, players on Game Changers rosters are eligible to play.
Get ready to embark on your path to pro in VALORANT with the Episode Eight Premier season. Start honing your skills and aim for the top!
