After securing his fourth World Championship title on Nov. 19, Faker has become the first and only League of Legends professional player to achieve this feat. Fans are now calling for a legendary skin to be created in his honor.
The community consensus is that Riot Games should develop a legendary skin specifically dedicated to Faker, commemorating his unprecedented success. One fan on Reddit has even proposed the idea of a “Prestige Demon King Azir” skin, paying homage to Faker’s nickname, the “Unkillable Demon King.” This choice is particularly fitting as Azir is one of Faker’s favorite champions.
During the post-finals conference on Nov. 19, Faker did not reveal his preferred champion for the commemorative skin. While other members of T1 mentioned their choices, Faker emphasized that he wants a skin that his fans will truly enjoy. In the past, he has requested skins for Zed, Ryze, and Syndra in 2013, 2015, and 2016, respectively.
Some players have even suggested that Riot should create a new champion to honor Faker’s achievements. However, many others believe that a legendary skin or a collection of skins would be sufficient recognition.
If the skin selection were based on Faker’s pick rate during Worlds 2023, Azir and Orianna would be the top contenders. According to Leaguepedia, Faker played each of these champions five times during the tournament.
