However, FaZe Clan staged an impressive six-round comeback, pushing the match into triple-overtime. After several missed match points from both sides, FaZe Clan emerged victorious, securing their third CS2 tournament win in a row.
FaZe Clan’s recent success in tournaments, including the IEM Sydney 2023 title and the Thunderpick World Championship 2023, solidifies their position as the dominant team in the new era of Counter-Strike.
Despite their achievements, rumors continue to circulate about the team’s future due to Complexity’s parent company acquiring FaZe Clan and potential conflict-of-interest rules. Twistzz, in particular, has been linked with a return to Team Liquid. In a post-match interview, he was asked about the team’s constant comebacks, which he referred to as “the FaZe way.” When questioned about future comebacks, Twistzz diplomatically responded that the next one is looking promising.
