German-based organization GamerLegion Prism has removed female CS:GO player Chloe “KittyTM” Gearney from their roster after discovering she had made racist remarks in previous matches. The organization took immediate action, stating that her departure was inevitable.
GamerLegion firmly denounces discriminatory comments and behavior, as it goes against the spirit of competition that esports embodies. They deeply regret any harm caused by KittyTM’s comments and are committed to learning from this incident. The organization aims to inspire aspiring gamers regardless of gender.
Screenshots posted on social media revealed that KittyTM made a racist remark in CS:GO’s text messaging system during a match. These screenshots were shared over three weeks prior to GamerLegion Prism’s team announcement.
GamerLegion joined the ESL Impact league on September 23, acquiring KittyTM and the Let Her Cook roster. The team qualified for season four of the female CS:GO league through the open qualifier. This marks GamerLegion’s first venture into female CS.
Before joining Let Her Cook, KittyTM participated in several ESEA Impact Cash Cups in 2023. She then teamed up with Let Her Cook for the ESL Impact season four open qualifier, where they defeated Team Spirit’s female division 2-0 to secure a spot in the women’s top-flight European league.
Prior to being removed from the roster, KittyTM had a 1-1 record in the league, with a 2-0 win against shinigami and a 0-2 loss to G2 Oya. She had a rating of 1.15 across her four ESL Impact maps, ranking 14th overall according to HLTV.
GamerLegion has not yet announced a replacement for KittyTM. The team is scheduled to face NAVI Javelins in their third ESL Impact season four match tomorrow.
