Bulgarian AWPer Tsvetelin “CeRq” Dimitrov and American rifler Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte, previously part of Evil Geniuses in CS:GO, are currently among the top-ranked players in the world in CS2 Premier mode.
During their time away from the spotlight, CeRq and Brehze have been dedicating themselves to climbing the European and North American ladders. CeRq currently holds the highest rating in Europe, while Brehze sits at fourth place in North America.
CeRq has an impressive record of 101 wins and an 84.87 percent win rate in CS2 Premier so far. On the other hand, Brehze boasts 133 wins and an 88.08 percent win rate. As of now, Brehze is ranked ninth globally, while CeRq holds the tenth spot.
It is worth noting that CS2 is still in beta, making it even more remarkable that CeRq and Brehze are leading the leaderboards in Premier mode. Brehze has been inactive since being benched by EG in June due to disappointing results in the first half of the year, while CeRq has been a free agent since parting ways with EG in January.
While many CS:GO players competing at the highest level are also playing the CS2 beta, not everyone is dedicating as much time to it due to their commitments to CS:GO events. Ropz stands out as an exception, with 67 wins and an 87.32 percent win rate in CS2 at the time of writing.
Although it remains uncertain if CeRq and Brehze will return to tier-one competition in CS2, their dedication and mastery of the new game are evident. With CS2 set to release worldwide this summer, the recent major update on August 31 brings us closer than ever to its official launch.
