G2’s CS:GO captain, HooXi, has faced excessive criticism since joining the team in August 2022. However, NiKo, the team’s star player, believes that HooXi doesn’t deserve all the blame. Despite negative comments from fans and analysts, NiKo defends HooXi, stating that his stats are comparable to other top in-game leaders like karrigan and apEX. NiKo believes that bias against HooXi plays a role in the unfair treatment he receives when the team loses.
Comparing HooXi’s individual statistics with karrigan and apEX during the same period, it is evident that HooXi’s performance is on par, with apEX slightly outperforming him. However, statistics alone do not tell the whole story. According to HLTV, HooXi is the player who is least set up for success in the entire scene.

G2 will have the opportunity to prove their critics wrong during ESL Pro League’s group D. The team is considered one of the favorites to secure a playoff spot and will face Lynn Vision on September 20 at 9am CT.
