Blizzard has exciting plans for World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic, with the introduction of two incredibly rare mounts—the Magic Rooster and the Blazing Hippogryph. These mounts are some of the most expensive in the game, but players might have the opportunity to obtain them for a fraction of their usual cost.
The recent update to the WoTLK Classic PTR (Patch 3.4.3 Build 51831) revealed the addition of the Magic Rooster and the Blazing Hippogryph mount models. Currently, the Magic Rooster is only available on Taiwan Realms and is valued at $1,799, while the Blazing Hippogryph sells for approximately $900.
What makes these mounts so expensive is that they were originally obtained through WoW’s Trading Card Game, which has since been discontinued. Finding these cards now requires a significant investment of money.
While Dragonflight players may have a chance to acquire these mounts through the Black Market auction house or Twitch and Amazon promotions, there is currently no way to obtain the Magic Rooster and Blazing Hippogryph in WoTLK Classic.
However, there is hope for Western servers. The Magic Rooster is already available on Taiwanese servers if players purchase 90 days of game time. This suggests that a similar offer may be introduced for Western servers in the future, allowing players to obtain a mount worth $2,000 for just $29. It’s an incredible deal. Unfortunately, there is no information yet on how the Blazing Hippogryph will be obtained.
Stay tuned for updates on these rare mounts and get ready to add some truly valuable assets to your WoW collection.
