A new Magic: The Gathering dinosaur avatar called Gishath, Sun’s Avatar has been revealed, promising to dominate reanimation strategies in multiple formats. This legendary creature supports Dinosaur typal in Commander and other MTG formats, making it a force to be reckoned with. Gishath, Sun’s Avatar is a reprint from the original Ixalan set and will be released in Lost Caverns of Ixalan on Nov. 17.
Mana Cost | Type | Rarity | Stats | Keywords | Ability |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
5RGW | Legendary Creature—Dinosaur Avatar | Mythic Rare | 7/6 | Vigilance, Trample, and Haste | Whenever Gishath, Sun’s Avatar deals combat damage to a player, reveal that many cards from the top of your library. Put any number of Dinosaur creature cards from among them onto the battlefield and the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order. |
Gishath, Sun’s Avatar is an eight-drop creature with the colors RGW (Red, Green, and White). Its ability allows it to deal combat damage to a player as soon as it enters the battlefield, thanks to its Haste keyword. With Trample, opponents can only stop its damage by removing it from the battlefield. When Gishath, Sun’s Avatar deals combat damage, players get to reveal cards from the top of their library and put any number of Dinosaur creature cards onto the battlefield. This can lead to a flood of powerful dinosaurs joining the fight.
Players will have the opportunity to test out Gishath, Sun’s Avatar when Lost Caverns of Ixalan is released on Nov. 10 in local game stores, or on the global release date of Nov. 17. Get ready to unleash the power of dinosaurs with this formidable reanimation strategy!
