I was instantly captivated by Baldur’s Gate 3, but now I fear I won’t be able to complete it. For weeks, I’ve been immersed in the world of Faerûn, sacrificing sleep, socializing, and even meals. However, with a slew of highly anticipated releases on the horizon, I must find a balance and tear myself away from this addictive game.
While I’m still deeply invested in Baldur’s Gate 3, I recently realized that I’m only halfway through the second act. Seeing how quickly others have completed the game, I know I have many more hours ahead of me. As much as I adore my companions and the adventures we share, I can’t ignore the upcoming releases that I’ve been eagerly anticipating for years.
Starfield, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Alan Wake 2, Cyberpunk 2077: The Phantom Liberty—these are just a few of the games I can’t afford to miss. While I’ll be covering them at work, I also want to enjoy them in my free time. It’s time to step outside, regain a healthier lifestyle, and indulge in these long-awaited titles.
Fortunately, most of these games won’t demand the same time commitment as Baldur’s Gate 3 (except for you, Starfield). Additionally, Counter-Strike 2 is looming on the horizon, threatening to disrupt my life balance once again. Thankfully, I don’t have beta access, so I can resist its allure.
If Baldur’s Gate 3 had released a bit earlier, I might have been able to explore more of the game before this influx of highly anticipated titles. I could have reached Baldur’s Gate itself and discovered the truth about Shadowheart’s feelings. But for now, I must prioritize myself and hope that my relationship with Shadowheart remains intact when I return.
