Larian Studios, the developer and publisher of Baldur’s Gate 3, has announced the release of the Deluxe Edition for next year. In a tweet, the director of the game, Swen Vincke, assured fans that the Deluxe Edition is not a limited edition and there will be no stock scarcity. He urged fans to avoid purchasing from scalpers who may be reselling the game at higher prices.
The gaming market has been plagued by scalpers who buy up stock and sell it at inflated prices. Vincke’s call to fans to purchase from legitimate sellers comes after reports of the Collector’s Edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 being sold for over $1,000 on sites like eBay.
The Deluxe Edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 will be available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and will begin shipping in Q1 2024. It includes physical goodies such as a physical copy of the game, a deluxe edition box, a World Map, a Mind Flayer poster, patches, stickers, and three discs of the game’s original soundtrack.
