According to a report from Sheep Esports on November 2nd, MAD Lions is set to shake up their roster for the upcoming season following their disappointing performance at the 2023 League of Legends World Championship.
The organization has decided to replace Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság with David “Supa” Martínez García as the new bot laner. Supa has been in talks with three LEC teams and will be joined by support player Álvaro “Alvaro” Fernández del Amo in the bot lane. Additionally, Tomás “Melzhet” Campelos Fernández will take on the role of head coach, as reported by blix.gg on October 28th.
Supa, Alvaro, and Melzhet are currently part of Movistar Riders, a Spanish organization competing in EMEA Masters and SuperLiga. They achieved second place in the Masters event and first place in SuperLiga this year.
The positions for mid, top, and jungler in MAD Lions are still up for grabs, with no confirmed players yet.
This marks the end of an era for Carzzy, who joined MAD Lions in 2019 and had two stints with the team. His time with Team Vitality proved to be challenging in his career. Carzzy is known for his aggressive and unconventional play style, always seeking kills to give his team an advantage. It remains uncertain where he will go next.
