McDonald’s Pokémon TCG 2023 Promotion Set to Launch in the US Next Week!

superadmin

After a month of anticipation, the highly awaited McDonald’s Pokémon TCG 2023 promotional campaign is finally arriving in the United States on September 12th. This exciting collaboration between McDonald’s and The Pokémon Company brings special packs of the Pokémon TCG to Happy Meals for a limited time. The promotion has already been rolled out in Europe last month and will be available at participating locations in the US until October 16th.

During this five-week promotion, customers purchasing a Happy Meal will receive a four-card booster pack from the 2023 collection. Each pack includes 14 reprinted cards from the Scarlet and Violet base set, along with a Pikachu card from Paldea Evolved. One of the cards in the pack will be holographic, and a Pokémon-themed toy will also be included.

The confetti holofoil rarity recent McDonald’s promos feature Pikachu, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, Cetitan, and Klawf. This year, these cards will have holographic card borders as well.

Here is a list of the 14 reprinted cards included in the promotion:

– Sprigatito
– Fuecoco
– Quaxly
– Cetoddle
– Cetitan
– Pikachu
– Pawmi
– Kilowattrel
– Flittle
– Sandaconda
– Klawf
– Blissey
– Tandemaus
– Cyclizar
– Kirlia

This marks the first McDonald’s promotion for the Scarlet and Violet era of Pokémon. The supply versus demand for the current Pokémon TCG is in a favorable position, meaning it should be relatively easy to obtain these packs compared to previous years. Additionally, the promo cards are typically inexpensive on the secondhand market.

If you prefer not to purchase a Happy Meal, you can wait for the packs to become available on platforms like eBay and TCGPlayer. In the past, after an initial surge in prices, McDonald’s packs have settled in the $2 to $4 range, and individual promo cards are usually priced under $2. This makes it convenient to complete a full set if desired.
