Niantic has been teasing the release of new Pokémon species in Pokémon Go, and now we have the official details. As part of the upcoming Adventures Abound season, eight Gen IX Pokémon will be added to the game in two waves.
The first wave will be introduced during the A Paldean Adventure event, which runs from September 5th to 10th. Players can expect to encounter Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, and Lechonk during this event. Lucky players may even come across a Shiny Lechonk. After the event, these Pokémon will be available in Eggs, with Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly in 5km Eggs and Lechonk in 2km Eggs. Additionally, a new set of avatar items called Paldea Set: Kitakami will be released on September 13th.
Following the A Paldean Adventure event, the Ultra Unlock: Paldea event will begin from September 10th to 15th. This event will introduce four more Gen IX Pokémon: Nymble, Pawmi, Bombirdier, and Frigibax. Players will have unlocked this event during Pokémon Go Fest 2023. The event will feature paid Timed Research focused on Pawmi and increased encounters for all Paldean Pokémon. Frigibax will be added to the 10km Egg pool after the event, and Bombirdier will be available as a Shiny Pokémon from the start.
In addition to these new Pokémon, Community Day Classic: Charmander will take place on September 2nd, and more special events are planned for the new season.
