A new superteam is forming as Falcons, backed by Saudi Arabia, have reportedly signed Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer, the in-game leader of ENCE. While Snappi is still under contract with ENCE until the end of 2023, he has verbally agreed to join Falcons. The official signing and departure date from ENCE are yet to be determined.
According to Sheep Esports, ENCE is already searching for a new in-game leader, with Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander being the top candidate to join the Finnish organization. Snappi’s leadership has been instrumental in ENCE’s success, including winning the IEM Dallas trophy in June 2023 and achieving runner-up performances in several tournaments.
If the deal is finalized, Falcons will strengthen their already formidable roster, which includes Mohammad “BOROS” Malhas, Emil “Magisk” Reif from Vitality, and Nikola “NiKo” Kovač from G2. The team will be coached by Danny “zonic” Sørensen, who previously coached Astralis and Vitality. Negotiations are also underway for 18-year-old sniper Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov to join the team.
ENCE, currently ranked second in the HLTV world rankings, has experienced a remarkable revival under Snappi’s leadership. Despite a recent loss to FaZe Clan in CS2’s first LAN event, the team remains one of the top contenders in the scene.
As the 2024 season approaches and the PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major qualifiers loom in January, the CS2 scene is seeing numerous roster changes. Teams are solidifying their lineups in preparation for the upcoming challenges.
