NFL Player Graham Glasgow Shares Frustrations with Cheaters in CS2

Derek Morgan

Graham Glasgow, a starting offensive lineman in the NFL for the Detroit Lions, has expressed his frustration with cheaters in the game Counter-Strike 2 (CS2). Glasgow recently took to X to share his complaints about encountering blatant cheaters during his premier gameplay. He highlighted the annoyance of facing opponents who haven’t even properly set up a Steam account and the added frustration of these cheaters boosting players ranked high in the world.

Glasgow’s experience is relatable to every CS2 player who has encountered cheaters with ridiculous usernames. These cheaters disrupt the game, while teammates like “Larry Lovestain” express their anger in the general chat. Premier mode, in particular, seems to be infested with cheaters, possibly due to the absence of demo reviews. Valve’s anti-cheat system relies on scanning demos to identify suspicious play, but without this tool, catching cheaters becomes incredibly challenging.

Counter-Strike matchmaking has always been problematic, leading serious players to migrate to third-party servers like FACEIT for a better experience. FACEIT not only offers improved gameplay with higher tick rates but also provides a safer environment with fewer cheaters.

This situation highlights that no one is immune to the issues plaguing CS2, not even professional Counter-Strike or NFL players. Everyone is susceptible to encountering frustrating cheaters and those who boost them.

Fortunately, Valve has shown increased interest in addressing the problems in Counter-Strike and has been actively working on fixing the issues since the game’s launch. However, until all the problems are resolved, players may find it more ideal to play on platforms like FACEIT or accept the unfortunate reality of being cheated out of wins. It will take some time before this problem is completely remedied.
