Get ready for the chilling new season of Overwatch 2, “Rise of Darkness,” starting on Oct. 10. The official social media page has given fans a sneak peek with a teaser trailer, revealing exciting new content to look forward to.
The 19-second video posted on Twitter showcases some thrilling additions, including a possible Diablo-inspired skin for Moira, a Zomnic-themed PvE mode, and a terrifying reimagining of Blizzard World.
This season will coincide with the Halloween season, featuring the highly anticipated Halloween Terror event. In previous years, players have enjoyed the Dr. Junkenstein PvE game mode, where they battled zombie omnics to defeat Dr. Junkenstein on a Halloween-themed segment of the Eichenwalde map.
To keep things fresh, it seems that this season will introduce a new formidable boss in the form of Moira, transformed into the villainous Lilith from the Diablo universe. This collaboration with Diablo was previously hinted at by Blizzard.
The exact start date for the Overwatch 2 Halloween Terror event is yet to be announced, but it typically begins a week or two before Halloween. More details about the events in season seven will be revealed in the official full season seven trailer, premiering on Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 11am CT on the game’s YouTube channel.
