Pokémon Players Use Status Conditions for Unique Photoshoots

Tim Price

Pokémon players in Scarlet and Violet have found a creative way to enhance their photography skills by intentionally inflicting status conditions on their Pokémon. By using burns, poison, sleep, paralysis, and even freezing, players are able to capture unique and visually striking photos with their beloved Pokémon.

One player shared a collection of photos on Reddit, showcasing their Pokémon with various status conditions. Despite the unconventional approach, the results were surprisingly impressive.

While some status conditions are easier to achieve, such as burns and poison, others require more effort and luck. The Flame Orb and Toxic Orb items can be used to inflict burns and poison on Pokémon during battles. These conditions add a dramatic effect to the photos, making them stand out.

Freezing a Pokémon, on the other hand, is more challenging. With only a 10% chance of freezing with certain Ice-type moves, players need to encounter specific Pokémon like Cryogonal in Glaseado Mountain to increase their chances. However, the end result, as seen with the frozen Ogerpon, can be quite amusing.

The Reddit thread sparked humorous responses from other players, with many joking about intentionally harming their Pokémon for the sake of a good photo. Despite the lighthearted tone, it’s important to note that these status conditions do not cause any harm to the Pokémon in the game.

Overall, this unique photography technique adds an extra layer of creativity and fun to the Pokémon gaming experience. Players can experiment with different status conditions to capture stunning and memorable moments with their Pokémon companions.
