Riot Games has something exciting in store for League of Legends fans as the Worlds season kicks off. In a new video, popular esports caster Clayton “CaptainFlowers” Raines breaks down the upcoming events, including the return of Nexus Blitz, the debut of League’s new Coven skins, Jax’s visual rework, and Worlds-themed event passes. But that’s not all, as Riot Games also dropped a mysterious teaser at the end of the video, hinting at something big to come.
The teaser featured a series of images flashing across the screen, accompanied by a voice saying, “Huh, what is that?” The screen appeared to be hacked by an unknown party, with warnings informing fans that they are being monitored by remote cameras. Another screen displayed a restricted access notice, along with a never-before-seen mysterious icon. Following that, the screen showcased bold text proclaiming, “The World Is Ours,” accompanied by a logo featuring a head silhouette with a crosshair over the eye.
Speculation is running wild about what this teaser could mean. Many believe it could be hinting at a new skin line that will be released during or after Worlds, possibly tied to a new music group debuting during the event. Earlier this summer, rumors circulated in the K-pop community when boy band ATEEZ was spotted visiting Riot’s L.A. headquarters. While they were not chosen as the Worlds anthem artist, there is still a possibility that ATEEZ could be featured in a future skin release, especially considering their EPs titled “The World.”
Fans will have to wait for official news as Worlds continues until November 19th. In the meantime, excitement is building for the surprises Riot Games has in store for the League of Legends community.
