The top guilds in the world have made their mark in the World of Warcraft Race to World First by swiftly conquering the Amirdrassil The Dreams Hope Mythic difficulty raid. Team Liquid, after days of preparation and split raids on lower difficulties, emerged as a formidable force, securing a share of the lead by defeating six out of nine bosses in just three hours on November 17.
While guilds like Instant Dollars achieved World First kills on five of the first six bosses, Liquid’s strategic approach of split raids with alternate characters allowed them to amass better gear and achieve faster kills. Their efficient run through the raid included one-shotting the first three bosses and no more than seven attempts on any boss.
Currently on a break, Liquid has taken the lead on Smolderon, bringing the boss down to 66 percent health after seven pulls. Raid leader Maximum expressed confidence in the team’s ability to defeat the penultimate boss, Tindral Sageswift, Seer of the Flame, today, leaving just one boss remaining for a Race to World First victory.
Meanwhile, their main competition, Echo, has also begun their Mythic raiding efforts and impressively downed the first three bosses in a similar timeframe as Liquid.
