The highly anticipated Black Friday event has returned to Apex Legends, offering players the best deal of the year. This limited-time sale presents an incredible opportunity for players to acquire their favorite Mythic rarity Heirloom weapon or skin at the lowest price possible.
Running from November 21 to December 5, the Black Friday shop is now available on all platforms. It features new limited-time skin bundles for legends and weapons, as well as discounted prices on bulk purchases of Apex packs. However, the highlight of the event is undoubtedly the chance for Heirloom Shard collectors to obtain their desired items.
Heirloom Shards are a rare currency in Apex Legends, typically obtained through lucky drops from Apex Packs or by opening hundreds of packs. During the Black Friday Sale, players have the opportunity to purchase the 100-Apex Pack bundle at a discounted price of 6,700 Apex coins (equivalent to $60), compared to the usual price of $100.
According to the official Apex Legends FAQ page, Heirloom Shards can only be obtained from Apex Packs and have a less-than-one-percent chance of dropping. These shards can be used to purchase exclusive Heirloom weapons for legends, which replace their default holstered animation, or Prestige Skins that offer unique finishers for dealing damage with the corresponding legend.
While obtaining Heirloom Shards solely through packs can be a matter of luck, players are guaranteed to receive shards every 500 Apex Packs. On a regular day, collectors would need to spend $500 to reach this milestone, but the Black Friday sale provides a discounted opportunity to achieve it.
Purchasing the 100-Pack Bundle not only offers a $40 discount on 100 packs but also increases the chances of obtaining Heirloom Shards. Most players won’t need to buy 500 Apex Packs outright since the bad luck counter kicks in from the last Heirloom Shards opened or from the time they start opening packs if they haven’t obtained any Heirloom Shards before.
For those who may not be ready to commit to buying 100 Apex Packs, there is an alternative and more affordable option available. The Black Friday sale also includes an unlimited 20-pack bundle for 1,000 Apex Coins ($10). This bundle includes the Take Heed weapon charm and double the standard number of packs compared to regular purchases from the Apex Packs tab.
In addition to the discounted packs, the Black Friday sale features new recolors and reruns of season 16 event skins. Players can find the Underworld Guardian, a new recolor of Wraith’s Ancient of the Void from the Imperial Guard event, bundled with the Warrior Bound skin for the Volt SMG. Returning from the same event are Octane’s Cerulean Centurion, the 30-30 Repeater’s Cerulean Slayer, and the Wisdom’s Peak banner frame. Bloodhound’s Majestic Tracker skin and the corresponding Proud Pennant emote also make a comeback from the Regal Wrath sale.
Each legend bundle offers three versions, providing 45 packs, 20 packs, or the skins individually, all at discounted prices.
The Black Friday sale will last for two weeks, giving players ample time to take advantage of the discounted prices and make their desired purchases.
