1. Practice Queue for Teams
One of the most requested features by the Premier community is finally here. Starting from Episode Seven, Act Three, teams will have access to a practice queue on select non-match days. This much-needed addition will allow teams to work on their cohesion and teamwork before the crucial weekly matches with Premier Score on the line. Although the practice queue won’t be available all the time, it’s still a step in the right direction.
2. Tactical Timeouts
Another highly anticipated addition is the introduction of tactical timeouts. This feature has been requested by VALORANT players for quite some time, and now it’s making its way to Premier. Each team will have the opportunity to call a single tactical timeout during a match. This strategic pause can be a game-changer, allowing teams to regroup, discuss strategies, and make necessary adjustments. Hopefully, tactical timeouts will also be implemented in the normal competitive queue soon.
3. Improved Playoff Seeding
In Season Two, Premier is introducing playoff seeding that rewards the best-performing teams in a division with more favorable matchups. This change aims to create a fairer and more competitive environment for all participants. The top-performing teams will have the advantage of facing opponents who are ranked lower, giving them a better chance to showcase their skills and secure victory.
Additionally, Season Two brings a few other notable changes to Premier. These include a one-and-a-half day enrollment period, a 15-minute seeding period for better matchmaking, and the introduction of Premier Crests. At the end of the season, players will have the opportunity to win and earn Crests that reflect their team’s performance, adding a sense of accomplishment and recognition.
