Vitality has announced the signing of Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam as their new Counter-Strike coach. This move comes after the departure of zonic to Falcons earlier this month. XTQZZZ previously coached Vitality’s CS:GO division from 2018 to 2021, helping them achieve success in various tournaments. He left to coach G2 in January 2022 but returned to Vitality after a nine-month stint with TSM.
XTQZZZ’s arrival coincides with Vitality’s debut at IEM Sydney, where they will be the No. 1 team in the world and the reigning Major champions. Although he is unable to travel to Australia, XTQZZZ will assist the players remotely, with assistant coach Mathieu “MaT” Leber supporting the team on-site. Additionally, Vitality has extended captain apEX’s contract until 2026.
XTQZZZ expressed his pride in returning to his Parisian roots and his confidence in keeping Vitality on the path to victory. He believes that despite an already remarkable year for the team, they can continue to push boundaries and achieve even greater success.
Vitality’s first match at IEM Sydney will be against BetBoom on Sunday, Oct 15 at 9:30pm CT. They are placed in Group A alongside FaZe, GamerLegion, Natus Vincere, Apeks, MOUZ, and Vertex.
