Trade Authority Locations for Selling Contraband
In the vast playable galaxy of Starfield, there are numerous merchants and stores where you can buy and sell items. However, when it comes to selling contraband, finding a willing merchant can be a challenge. Luckily, the Trade Authority is a trade and commerce corporation that is willing to work with any faction and turn a blind eye to regulations. They are one of the few merchants you can go to for selling contraband.
The Trade Authority has locations scattered across various star systems, but getting past the scanners in settled systems can be tricky. Here are some tips on where to find Trade Authority locations:

Note: The Key is currently not accessible unless you have a way to become friendly with the Crimson Fleet pirate faction in the Kryx system.
Trade Authority Locations Details
The Well in New Atlantis
The Trade Authority location in New Atlantis is situated in The Well area of the city. To reach it:
- Land at the main New Atlantis landing zone.
- Head towards the scanner ramp, but use the garbage can to climb onto the balcony on the left to avoid being scanned if you have contraband.
- Walk towards the corridor between Jemison Mercantile and Terrabrew Coffee.
- Take the elevator down to The Well.
- Go down the small stairwell and take a left, passing the House of the Enlightened.
- You will find the Trade Authority next to the House of the Enlightened and Apex Electronics.
The Den
The Trade Authority location in The Den station is found in orbit around Chthonia. To reach it:
- Dock with The Den and board the station.
- Walk past the Ship Services sign and you will see a small Trade Authority desk to your left.
Cydonia
The Cydonia Trade Authority shop is located on lower level one. To find it:
- Head inside to the Cydonia central hub.
- Go straight down the ramp to the main plaza and stairwells.
- As soon as you reach the bottom of the ramp, the Cydonia Trade Authority is the first door on your right before heading down the stairs.
Akila City
The Trade Authority shop in Akila City is situated just past the main gate entry. To reach it:
- Land at the Akila City landing spot.
- Enter the city through the main gate.
- Immediately head right and walk along the right side of the Hitching Post, going up the stairs.
- You will see a building with a big green Trade Authority sign in front of you. The door is on the left side of the building.
Neon
The Neon Trade Authority shop is located next to the main entrance elevator. To find it:
- Land at the Neon landing spot.
- Go through the security checkpoint and take the elevator down.
- Upon exiting the elevator, you will immediately see a bright neon yellow Trade Authority sign to your left. The door is on the right side.
