World of Warcraft players have stumbled upon a bug in the game’s barbershop that results in characters losing their fur animations, sporting bizarre facial expressions, and experiencing changes in their body textures.
A Reddit user recently shared an image on WoW’s subreddit showcasing four characters affected by this bug. The pictures reveal a female Orc and a Female Undead character with distorted faces and mismatched bodies, almost as if they have two faces. Additionally, there is a female Goblin with orange skin and a fur-less female Pandaren displaying equally unsettling facial features.
According to the player, this glitch occurs when one player, while in a party with someone (presumably a Drachtyr), uses the barbershop. As the player sits on the barbershop chair and enters the customization menu, the other player (the Drachtyr) employs an item called a Reflecting Prism on the party member. This causes the character sitting on the chair to swap appearances with the party member. However, since they are in the process of customizing a character of a different race, it triggers a bug where the character’s appearance merges two different races, resulting in the peculiar visuals depicted in the aforementioned image.
Players in the Reddit post have described the bug as “nightmare fuel,” while others find it amusing and express their desire to recreate it.
This is not the first time a barbershop bug has been discovered in WoW. Players have previously found ways to manipulate their character’s appearance, such as changing their gender, race, or even wandering around cities while continuously altering their looks.
As with many bugs and glitches in WoW’s extensive history, this latest barbershop bug will likely be addressed in an upcoming patch. In the meantime, let’s enjoy the spectacle of this amusing anomaly.
