Roadhog’s highly anticipated rework in Overwatch 2 finally has a release date. The updated version of the hook-wielding hero will be available for players to experience on Tuesday, November 14. Fans have been eagerly awaiting this transformation since May, and now the wait is almost over.
Roadhog has not been a top-tier hero since a meta-changing update in January. Many of his abilities were significantly weakened due to community complaints. However, with this rework, Roadhog will have a second chance to shine in the evolving metagame.
The developers of Overwatch 2 initially announced the Roadhog rework in their Season Five roadmap, following the completion of Sombra’s overhaul. Considering the success of Sombra’s new form, it is worth considering that Roadhog may also come out of the rework as a strong and viable hero.
