Pro League of Legends Player Clid Banned for Sexual Harassment Allegations

superadmin

Kim “Clid” Tae-min, a renowned professional League of Legends player, has been handed a one-year ban from competitive play. The ban comes as a result of sexual harassment allegations made against him. Clid, who has played for esteemed teams such as T1, JD Gaming, Gen.G, and Hanwha Life, has been suspended from Hanwha Life and is prohibited from participating in any other competitive region for the duration of the ban.

The decision to ban Clid was made by the LCK Secretariat after conducting an internal investigation and review. The sexual harassment allegations were brought forward by two fans in June, accusing Clid of making inappropriate remarks towards them. The Secretariat concluded that Clid did indeed make high-level sexual remarks towards underage individuals, emphasizing the need for measures to address such behavior, particularly given Clid’s status as a prominent professional player.

Following the incident, Clid was replaced by Jo “Grizzly” Seung-hoon as the jungler for Hanwha Life. Despite finishing the split in third place, the team failed to qualify for Worlds 2023. Hanwha Life has yet to release a statement regarding Clid’s ban, leaving uncertainty surrounding his future with the team.
