On September 18, Bungie released a patch to fix a game-breaking bug in Destiny 2. However, players have discovered that there are still a couple of glitched weapons that can be crafted and used in the game.
In a video by Aztecross, he demonstrates how players can mix perks between weapons when crafting, resulting in some very powerful combinations. Despite Bungie’s attempt to fix this bug, it is still possible to create these overpowered weapons.
One example shown in the video is combining the Reservoir Burst perk from a fusion rifle with an auto rifle. This grants the auto rifle bonus damage when its magazine is full, a perk exclusive to fusion rifles. Another combination involves using Reservoir Burst on a bow, which constantly activates due to the bow’s single arrow “magazine.” Pairing this with Kill Clip provides even more damage.
While these glitched weapons do give players an advantage with shorter time-to-kill, they can still be countered. However, they may prove useful for players participating in Trials of Osiris before it ends on September 20.
To create these glitched weapons, players will need two already crafted weapons. By quickly selecting the desired perks and the weapon to apply them to in the Enclave, players can reshape their weapons and create these powerful combinations. It may take a few attempts and capping the FPS can help improve success rates.
There has been no official response from Bungie regarding this bug, but it is expected to be patched in a future update. In the meantime, players can have fun experimenting with different perk combinations.
