PlayStation players will have the first opportunity to experience the highly anticipated Modern Warfare 3 beta this weekend. The beta will feature four remastered maps from the popular Modern Warfare 2 game released in 2009. This nostalgic trip down memory lane will allow both veteran and new Call of Duty fans to enjoy these classic maps.
The playable maps for the beta include Favela, Skidrow, Estate, and Rust. In the second weekend of the beta, the all-time favorite map Highrise will be added. This will give players a chance to see how these beloved maps play with the new features, weapons, and movement system of Modern Warfare 3.
It is worth noting that this may be the last time PlayStation players receive early access to Call of Duty betas. With the potential Microsoft acquisition of Activision, it is likely that Xbox players will have their turn next year.
